So I’m working on updating my Photography page and have been messing around different ways to display my photos. I like to keep it Flash based or java, because loading a whole new html page just to see the next 6 or so photos is just stupid. Anyways, one potential solution I have found looks like this:

It’s cool because it utilizes my Picasaweb which makes it SUPER easy to manage the album, but to view it you have go to full screen. There are other options, but I just haven’t found one that has everything I want. Eventually I will.

Here is a short little timelapse I made with my fisheye lens. Kind of experimental to see if I could get the timing down, but mostly just for fun. Enjoy!

Graduation

So I compiled some photos from my graduation into a slideshow. It isn’t anything fancy, I was really just messing around with Picasa. It has some unique options for creating slideshows, this one has to do with using faces. I thought it turned out cool.

So this past Friday I graduated from college. It was a fun experience but I’m glad to be done. Of course now I really have to find a job. I’ve been considering doing some wedding photography because for the most part I have all the equipment I need to get started. Not to mention it can pay decently as long as I don’t suck. Beyond that, I just want to do something I enjoy. I had some business cards made up so I can spread my name and contact info quickly and easily when I meet new people. But for now, I’m going to leave you with a picture from graduation.

Learn something new

Well, a lot of people say that they try to learn something new everyday. I must say that with the advent of the internet that it has become much easier for one to research how to do something on their own. Today I decided to take on a fairly easy task, learn how to make an animated GIF from a short video clip. With the newer versions of Photoshop it is actually really simple, as long as you can put your video in AVI format. Of course, now that I know how to make these there will probably more stupid things to come.

Update: I made another one, this one does a decent job of looping.

Last First

Well, I tried to post this earlier but the server was acting pretty funny. By funny I mean it didn’t want to work. Anyways, today was the first day of the semester for me. This is a particularly exciting semester because I’m taking some pretty cool classes and also it is the last semester of my undergrad career.

Now the downside is I have to make sure I don’t have to fall behind in anything. Something tells me I’m going to keep pretty busy this weekend. I’m running two websites myself plus attempting to start setting up websites for clients, I’m continuing to do funerals with the Guard, I’m starting to hear back about freelance camera work and what not, and have I mentioned that I’m taking 16 credit hours this semester?

Another day, another dollar

Ok, not quite on the dollar. But it is another day. Luckily the semester is coming to an end. I only have one more class period for one class. Which will give me more time to figure this WordPress stuff. I figured I’d try to insert a picture into this post, see what I can do.

Well, this wasn’t as easy as I had hoped but it wasn’t really hard. Luckily, I was able to handle it. Hopefully things will start to look better.
