A couple of weekends ago I had the privilege of filming a group of young talented musicians. They were getting ready for their last performance of the season and I got to watch them rehearse. I ended up with a LOT of footage and pictures for a timelapse (which will come) After the weekend I spent some time putting together the footage of the show so they would have a video for their website. Turns out that was a huge undertaking. I only have one camera, one operator, and 50+ clips to go through. Anyways, here is the result. Enjoy!

Hey, check out this new video I made recently. It’s from a project that my sister took on as part of her Girl Scout Gold Award. For the most part I threw it together pretty quickly so she could share it with her friends and the group that she worked with.

Graduation

So I compiled some photos from my graduation into a slideshow. It isn’t anything fancy, I was really just messing around with Picasa. It has some unique options for creating slideshows, this one has to do with using faces. I thought it turned out cool.

A little while back I put together a time lapse video using my Canon Rebel XSi. The snow was falling and I thought it’d be cool to watch it accumulate. It isn’t the best time lapse (my cats make a few guest appearances) but stuff like this I always enjoy. I figure the next time I make one it will be better, so it’s worth it to have a not so good one.

Well, this has been a less than productive weekend so far. But that’s to be expected when you tend to spend the week going back and forth to school. Anyways, I decided to take on a small personal project that is turning into a much larger project the further I get into it. I’m working on making a motion (or kinetic) typography video using After Effects. That’s all I’ll say about it for now, but hopefully it will turn into something pretty cool.

I have otherwise been maintaining a rather uneventful life. Every now and then hang out with some friends, new and old, but mostly go to school then come home. On a lighter note, my xbox has been fixed. It’s nice to have a working xbox again, though I don’t play all the time I did find myself missing some Call of Duty.

Well, I’ve been sitting here thinking. That is probably not a good thing, but it still happens none the less. Anyways, since I’m coming up on my college graduation I need to figure out what to do next. I’m pretty confident that graduate school is not the route for me. So that means I need to find a job. Now luckily I have a few months before I graduate so I have time to look around. But I definitely need to flesh out my resume, specifically I need to create some more professional looking videos. The camera I own isn’t even near HD, but right now I have a camera from the school which shoots much higher definition. I’m thinking I need to get some personal use out of this camera before I turn it in, but am still working on how I’m going to do it. I know not a lot of people read this blog, if any at all, but if anybody has any suggestions for some short demo reel shots that will be effective.
