The past week or so I’ve been busy with Christmas and whatnot. Spent some time with the parents and then traveled out to see my Grandpa in East Tennessee. Got a few cool things for Christmas, nothing too expensive though. Mainly it was nice to see family. Ate a lot of food also.

On a slightly different note, here’s a list of the classes I’m signed up to take this Spring (ending in graduation):
Audio Production 1
Live Studio Production
Internet Content Management
Video Production 2

I’m actually very excited about these classes, they should be fun yet provide a challenge. Not to mention, two of them are an excuse to play with cameras and other expensive technology.

Anyways, that’s about it in my corner of the world right now.

Well, today ended up being a little more productive than I thought at first. While I was at a funeral earning a little bit of money I decided to send an email my Department Head about the lack of contact I’ve had with my adviser. Luckily he quickly responded with the information I needed to get registered for next semester. So after getting that done I started looking at a couple of other things. I ended up being able to fill out my paperwork for Federal Tuition Assistance (thanks National Guard) and I also filled out my FAFSA. So I’ve got my fingers crossed now that the FTA comes in without a fight (about a 50/50 chance there) and that maybe I get some grant money. I’m not counting on the grant money but would really like it.

Was an interesting evening in the end. As far as everything goes even close to according to plan I will be graduating from college in May. About damn time.

Well, here I am once again. I have finished the semester up and yet to hear from my Advisor. Surprise surprise. The good news is that Christmas is right around the corner which means no school. It also means I get to spend some time with family and spend a little bit more time working on the site here. I still have some ideas that I want to try, it’s just a matter of finding a few hours to sit down and work on it.
I have actually started telling people about my website. It’s not done but I feel like I’m to the point that I don’t mind hearing opinions. Hopefully some of my friends will check in periodically and let me know what they think.

I’ve spent the better part of today working on this site. Various aspects of course. Right now I have a solution for the mobile browser, but not one I’m happy with. So that’s kept me busy. Then I decided that I wanted to incorporate my logo and a custom header (rather than this fill-in-the-blank theme) and there’s a lot of time spent there also. What you see up there at the moment is the product of the options built straight into WordPress. Luckily I know how to use this little thing called Photoshop, so I’ll be working on a new one here in a bit. Which reminds me that I told a friend I’d work on one for him.

That being said, life has been interesting recently. There are no words for it other than interesting. Let me see, I’m working on getting my videos posted to Vimeo so I can then embed them here. I have many of them posted on Youtube and will embed some of those here, but I prefer Vimeo for most of them.

I love trying new beer.

I have this place right up the street called the “House of Brews” and they have the biggest selection of beer out of everywhere I’ve been. I was making chili today and I always add a Stout beer to it. I found this one and just couldn’t help but to buy it. As I type this the chili is simmering and thickening up. Hopefully everything will taste good.

Well it’s been a couple days since I’ve posted anything. I keep meaning to make the time to improve on the site but seem to find myself doing other things. Right now it’s finals time so that’s keeping me a little busy. Hopefully once this semester is over I’ll be able to commit the time I need to to make this site much better. I’m of course also looking for some sort of a job for when I graduate. Life is never easy.

Ok, so I have installed WordPress. Now I’m going to get to work on  building a theme, or atleast customizing a free one I find. I will also be searching for some cool widgets and what not. Please feel free to leave any suggestions.
